Model and Actor, Holden Nowell, Named Hot Honoree in
PEOPLE
Annual Sexiest Man Alive 2012 Issue

– After his
debut role in the 5x-platinum, ‘Call Me Maybe’ music video this past summer as the
‘sexy neighbour crush’ of Canadian singer and songwriter, Carly Rae Jepsen,
Holden Nowell, quickly turned into a household name. Nowell, nearly barring it
all in the video became worthy of a spot in the annual PEOPLE Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive issue for 2012 (on newsstands
now).
“I couldn’t
be happier for my fellow Canadian friend Carly’s success as I had a great time
with her on- set of the production of her hit song’s video,” says Nowell. “I
had an idea of her talent, but had no idea the video was going to be an
overnight hit- I thank the opportunity to have received the honour by PEOPLE Magazine.”
The Los
Angeles based model and actor, is represented by one of the leading modeling
agencies in Canada, Sophia Models International, and founder/owner Bill Giofu
says, “I think this recognition from PEOPLE
with 185 other talented men will put Holden on the map as one of the best
models from Canada and help jumpstart his career into stardom.” Giofu met
Nowell at a fashion show in Calgary four years ago where Holden then contacted
the agency early last year to request representation. “For Holden, this honour
means opening the door for some great opportunities and clients to book him
within Canada and the U.S. And for our
agency, the recognition means we have the experience and connections to
represent some of the best looking and most talented people in North America.”
Both Nowell
and Giofu are working on their next goal to secure him an acting role in a movie
or to become the face for a cologne advertisement. “I’m dedicated to keep
growing in this industry as I have a full-on passion for both acting and singing
as well- and I’m open to work hard and challenge myself,” says Nowell.
